On the street. Walking with the dog, Kamppi, Helsinki.

I think they suit very well to each other.
This was a month with dogs and their mates. Let's see what we get next month.

On the street. Dog-like Style, Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

Here we have another dog inspired style that I mentioned two posts ago. I mean the trend with dog owners, that they often look alike their pets. I was like wow, when met this trio. The form of hourglass and trumpet legs is repeated in these wonderful Afghan Greyhounds and their hostess not to mention the coloring.

By the way, down jacket is the most sensible coat you can have in wintertime in these northern areas. It is like walking in the cozy sleeping bag, lightweight and warm. I have noticed that many women have belted their waist while wearing down jackets. Apparently though in order not to look like sleeping bag.

For fun. Kettlebells.

Kettlebells are my new favorite thing. Russians first invented this simple but effective way for strenght training. All you need is a kettlebell and a few square meter free space and there you have a whole gym in your living room (or whatever room it happens to be at the moment). So independent! It feels pure anarchy! I love the idea.

The Russian kettlebells are traditionally measured in weight by pood, which is defined approximately 16 kilograms. Well, my condition needs a little less than that. I'm starting with this couple.

On the street. Dog friend, Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

Once in awhile I am meeting this couple in my home street. Be it summer or winter they are always in perfect harmony with their colors. I have noticed that it is quite general that dog owners somehow look alike their pets. I have already another example in my mind. I'll draw it other day. Stay tuned.

On the street. Minus 15 Degrees Celsius, Helsinki.

street style. hats in minus 15 degree celsius.
True winter wonderland is here. Last week with minus 15 degrees of Celsius made people guard against cold. Even the toughest ones had to put something to their heads to protect the precious brain. Here you can see some examples of the ways to keep warm.

Catwalk. Marc by Marc Jacobs, fall/winter 2011.

I am truly in love with this green tone. Maybe because outside we are lacking it totally because of snow and the winter season.

On the street. Nutcracker, Kamppi, Helsinki.

Hello, and Happy New Year 2012! At a New Year time you can see a lot of Russian tourists in streets of Helsinki. Usually the ladies are extremely feminine and they tend to have fur hats in their heads.

With this lady I was thrilled by the ultimate finishing with bright red frilled blouse hem that was peeping under military jacket. The whole look was like feminine equivalent to ballet Nutcracker's hero, that I saw in Finnish National Opera House in December. What a wonderful performance! Though I wouldn't brake any nuts with her jaw.

On the street. Pale boys bright hats, Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

I was so amused when I spotted these tree pals hanging in font of S-market. All of them were dressed up in dark shades but still in their heads sparkled this colorful flush.
